Housing

The six-storey building will be designed to complement the surrounding neighbourhood and will offer approximately 160 purpose-built market rental units, including a mix of studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units. Suites and amenities will be designed for people of all ages and abilities, including families, singles, couples, and seniors.

The building will offer shared social spaces, in-suite laundry and bike facilities.

The building will be professionally managed by GWL Realty Advisors. Our onsite office will offer residents consistent, professional, and personalized service.

Community

Our vision for this project is to build a community that hundreds of North Shore residents can call home. The building has been designed to include a number of features that will allow residents to interact and connect with one another in addition to enjoying the privacy of their own homes.

The second-floor amenity space will offer indoor social rooms as well as outdoor seating areas and covered BBQ facilities that will allow residents to cook, eat, and socialize outdoors while their children enjoy the informal kids play area. The open space will also allow residents to take their workouts outside in nice weather. The amenities will also include a fitness facility for residents’ use.

The third-floor amenity space will act as the social hub of the building with gardens, a gas fire pit and informal seating area giving residents ample opportunity to visit and spend time together.

Ground-floor suites that look out onto the street and laneways will encourage eyes on the street and promote neighbourhood safety and community connections.

Landscaping

In addition to the new trees and native plant species that will be planted around the site, the second-floor amenity area will also contain edible landscaping, such as blueberries and herbs, while the third-floor amenity area will house additional gardens.

Sustainability

The building will be well served by several transit, cycling, and walking connections reducing the need for residents to travel by car. On-site bike storage and maintenance facilities will make cycling an even more viable option for residents.

Care has been taken to only include native and adaptive plants in the landscaping plan so as to minimize water usage and maintenance.
